As the scale and ambition of our projects grow, so does our responsibility - not only to our collaborators and clients, but also to the environment we work in.
That’s why we’re taking a more structured approach to how we manage the environmental impact of our work. Starting this year, we’re introducing a set of concrete steps aimed at reducing waste, lowering emissions, and creating space for more responsible decision-making throughout the production process.
We’re working to reduce the environmental footprint of transport and energy use during production:
• Wherever possible, we’ll source electricity from the grid instead of diesel generators, especially on stage or semi-permanent locations.
• We aim to minimize vehicle use by consolidating logistics and encouraging public transport and walking for local crew and talent.
• As part of our standard offer, we support remote shooting and remote viewing, helping clients and collaborators avoid unnecessary travel, including flights.
• From digital call sheets and scripts to reusable set materials, we’re working with departments to reduce and responsibly manage physical waste.
• We’re committed to measuring the footprint of our shoots and offsetting emissions through verified programs - ensuring that every project actively contributes to climate mitigation.
• Starting this year, we’ll assign a dedicated green set coordinator on eligible projects. This person will oversee implementation, tracking, and reporting - and will be budgeted as part of the production team.
• We’re sourcing from suppliers who prioritize sustainability - from single use plastic-free catering and LED lighting to environmentally conscious wardrobe, art department and set resources.
• We’re embedding sustainability into our pre-production planning, and actively involving our clients, collaborators, and crews in shaping and sharing best practices.
We see this as a working process, one we’ll be refining over time. The aim isn’t perfection, but a measurable shift toward smarter, cleaner, and more transparent ways of producing.
