Kirsten Owen Channels Warhol An editorial tribute captured near the artist’s roots

In this shoot by Michal Pudelka, iconic model Kirsten Owen steps into the role of Andy Warhol, blending performance and fashion in a surreal, stylized homage to the artist’s persona and legacy.

Shot not far from the Slovak hometown of Warhol’s parents, the location adds another layer of intimacy and meaning to the images - especially as the shoot took place near the Andy Warhol Museum of Modern Art in Medzilaborce, a space solely dedicated to his life and work.

The visuals play with pop-art repetition, mirrored identities, and performative stillness - capturing the tension between celebrity, imitation, and legacy that defined much of Warhol’s own mythology. The result is both a playful and reverent reimagining of the artist through one of fashion’s most distinctive faces.
